Brand sealed his second consecutive victory of 2008 – following the De Vere PGA Senior Championship the previous week – when he held off Spaniard Juan Quiros by two strokes.
In doing so he joined an illustrious roll call of champions, including former Ryder Cup captain Mark James, who defeated Sam Torrance in a play-off in 2005, and all-time leading Senior Tour money winner Carl Mason, who won the title in both 2006 and 2007.
The 2009 event at Woburn hopes to welcome many of the leading stars and familiar faces of the European Senior Tour, such as Ian Woosnam and Constantino Rocca, as well as Senior Tour rookies Roger Chapman and Peter Fowler.
Lifestyle has linked up with Woburn Golf Club, Travis Perkins plc and the European Senior Tour to offer a special prize of a fourball on the Duke’s Course on September 7 – the day after the Senior Masters’ final round – plus lunch.
Players must have a golf club handicap and play off a maximum of 24 for men and 36 for ladies.
