Office doubles in size as law firm continues to recruit

SINCE the merge in 2012 with Neasham Lloyd, Brethertons Bicester office has gone from strength to strength, doubling in size in less than 18 months.

Across our three offices in Rugby, Banbury and Bicester, the firm has already welcomed close to 30 new employees since the start of the year.

Of those, nearly half are newly created roles, with more vacancies still being appointed.

The merger with Neasham Lloyd enabled Brethertons to strengthen their legal offering, providing a much greater range of services in Bicester including commercial law alongside the existing private client offering of matrimonial, conveyancing, family law, and wills, trusts and probate.

The commercial team in Bicester already includes Angela Guess (commercial property) and Debra Wetters (employment).

After training at Norton Rose in London and Paris, Debra has developed a key expertise in Employment law and continues to achieve great success advising both businesses and individuals on all aspects of the employment relationship.

Angela recently joined Brethertons from Wise Geary Commercial Solicitors – bringing with her a wealth of experience in commercial property law ranging from freehold, commercial and residential site acquisition; to landlord and tenant commercial lease transactions.

Angela says: “As a commercial property lawyer, being in the heart of Bicester during the town’s current expansion and regeneration is an ideal place to be.

"The team works on some high-profile and unique developments, making the experience of working within the Commercial team here to be a rewarding and incredibly interesting one."

Brethertons LLP is an award-winning progressive law firm with high aspirations.
Now with 19 partners and 255 staff, the firm has a history of over 200 years and is renowned not just for its legal expertise, but also for its caring attitude and dedication towards clients and employee development.
So much so that in 2012 Brethertons developed a dedicated client services team which incorporates key client managers. Their main role is to work closely with solicitors to understand and engage with clients and ultimately meet and exceed their expectations.
