Merger heralds start of new growth phase for technology company

SilverBug has taken over Admiral IT, Admiral Network Infrastructure and Admiral Education Solutions in a deal due to be finalised by next month.

The merged organisations will trade under the SilverBug name from its premises in Milton Keynes and Leeds, as well as Admiral IT’s base in Central London.

Managing director Owen Daley said the merger marked the start of a new growth phase for the IT outsourcing company, whose headquarters are at Linford Wood.

He added: “The Admiral teams bring extensive experience in managed services across a number of additional sectors, which complements the existing skills and teams we have on board. The good news for existing and new clients is that they will benefit from our growth in expertise and knowledge with this development.”

Admiral Group chief executive officer Graham McMullen becomes chairman of the new organisation.

He said: “This merger sets out the vision for SilverBug’s future. We have brought together a level of expertise and pedigree that leading businesses look for when choosing a technology partner. ”
