Bathroom firm answers family’s TV show SOS

The Bletchley firm and its supplier Roman Ltd donated a range of products to the show’s presenter Melinda Messenger, whose team needed products to create a stylish easy access bathroom.

The Channel 5 show had come to the rescue of a local family who had hired and paid a builder to renovate their home and create a downstairs bathroom with special access for their disabled mother, who suffers with a degenerative form of spinal arthritis.

Part way through the project the builder walked off with the family’s money and left the work unfinished.

PHS donated many of the items themselves and its supplier Roman donated the showering products to compete the wetroom.

Mr Leighton said: "It was a great pleasure to be asked to help on Channel 5’s Cowboy Builders. Rogue traders give the good guys a bad name to the industry. We really felt for the family involved and were very happy to help create such a stylish bathroom, that would make the family’s life so much easier."
