Analysts expect positive signs from survey into Bedfordshire’s economic health

Bedfordshire Limited is a detailed analysis compiled using the latest company accounts available and provides an assessment of the county’s overall business performance and changing marketplace.

The results of the study will be presented at an exclusive breakfast event on June 19 at Woburn Sculpture Gallery, attended by many of the county’s top business leaders.

Grant Thornton partner Jeremy Read (pictured) said: “The picture we’re able to generate from Bedfordshire Limited provides a unique insight into the health of Bedfordshire’s business scene.

“Last year’s results showed that businesses were making steady progress in a difficult climate but, based on our local knowledge and discussions with clients and other professionals, we’re expecting to see more positive results this year reflecting improvements in conditions for the local business community.”

The Bedfordshire Limited study will analyse details such as earnings growth and employment figures, and will include a breakdown of the financial data by sector.

The top 100 companies will be selected based on the postcode of their trading address and turnover levels.

Bedfordshire Limited is part of a series of similar annual initiatives run by Grant Thornton across other UK counties including Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
