The Law Society awards Lexcel to firms of solicitors that have gone through a stringent external assessment process to ensure they have met every aspect of the quality standard.
Tollers committed to achieving the standard a year ago and started a detailed review of all its policies and procedures, which were rewritten so all areas of the firm are now aligned with the aims of Lexcel.
Tollers managing director Martin Hill (pictured) said: “We are delighted to be one of the first practices in this region to receive the Lexcel award and it is the culmination of much hard work by our quality management team.
“We believe that our clients will see the benefits too because ensuring client satisfaction is the central philosophy of the Lexcel accreditation scheme. Lexcel also helps by providing an excellent framework for the management of the practice.”
Tollers has triumphed in the Regional IT Team of the Year category in the Legal Technology Awards. The firm received the award at a ceremony in London.
Head of IT David Baskerville said: “Without our continued advances in legal technology we would not be able to offer our clients the immediate access to the precise, up-to-date information they require.”
