The deal puts the new combined company as a major global force in packaging design. Tecnolink, which employs 35 people, will continue to trade as a separate brand from its offices in Blakelands.
Managing director Eamonn Blaney, who has joined the management team of LTG subsidiary Imagelinx UK, said: “Clients of both companies will benefit substantially from the wider range of expertise this merger brings and will provide opportunities for cross-fertilisation of sales. The potential for additional growth and revenue for the group means we can look forward to a very successful future.”
AIM-listed LTG is a leading packaging design implementation company and has just won a contract from food giant Danone. Its technology and equipment allow companies to reproduce their branding exactly on any surface and in any production facility.
Tecnolink offers a similar service focused on the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. The acquisition means Tecnolink’s expertise will be extended worldwide.
LTG/Imagelinx chief executive Alistair Rae said: “We have bold ambitions. We have world-beating technology and combining the strengths of LTG and Tecnolink into Imagelinx gives us real critical mass to become a dominant force in the market.
“Tecnolink is the perfect partner for us and helps to accelerate our growth plans. We are also intent on keeping our presence in Milton Keynes.”
