A Dunstable roofing specialist has been recognised as one of the best in the country after winning South Regional Roofer of the Year at the 2025 Checkatrade Awards.
GJ Smith Roofing, which works across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, impressed judges with its strong customer reputation, quality of work and commitment to reliability. The company will now represent the South region in the national final at Wembley Stadium on 19 November, where the overall UK Roofer of the Year will be crowned.
Founded more than 30 years ago by Gary Smith, the firm has built its reputation on everything from small repairs to full roof installations, serving both domestic and commercial clients. The awards also raise funds for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, the only charity dedicated to providing emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.
