Organisers say this year’s entries are the strongest and most diverse since the awards began, with an independent judging panel recognising women making an impact across engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, education, technology, entrepreneurship, the arts, public service and community leadership.
Julie Mills OBE DL, chair of Women Leaders, said the quality of nominations reflected the depth of talent across the region.
“Our judges told us this was the most inspiring year yet. Every nomination shared the story of someone making a real difference, whether in business, their profession or their community.
“The Women Leaders Awards are about celebrating those achievements, but they’re also about inspiring others. We want people to see that incredible careers exist in every sector and that women can succeed wherever their passion takes them.”
The annual awards recognise women who have made a significant contribution to their profession, business or local community, highlighting achievements across a broad range of industries.
Julie added: “It’s a fantastic evening and one that always leaves people feeling inspired. Whether you come with colleagues, friends or on your own, you’ll hear remarkable stories, meet incredible people and celebrate everything that’s great about our region.”
The winners will be announced at the Women Leaders Awards ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Stadium MK, on Thursday 16 July.
