Businesses in Milton Keynes and North Buckinghamshire are being urged to share their views in a major national economic survey that influences government policy.

The Quarterly Economic Survey (QES), run locally by Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce, has opened for Q3 2025 and invites firms of all sizes and sectors to give their feedback on trading conditions.

The results are used by the British Chambers of Commerce to brief the Bank of England, HM Treasury and government ministers, making it one of the most influential business surveys in the UK.

Data from the last quarter showed inflation had overtaken taxation as the leading concern for local companies, with more than half of respondents (56%) naming it as their top challenge.

Simon Cox, Head of Policy at Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce, said: “The survey gives businesses here in Milton Keynes and across North Buckinghamshire a direct line to policymakers. It is particularly important that smaller firms, who make up the majority of our membership, have their voices heard so that decisions made nationally reflect the reality on the ground.”

The Chamber is encouraging as many businesses as possible to take part, highlighting that the survey takes just a few minutes to complete but has significant influence.
