Bedford Breakfast Club will return after its summer break with a timely look at what artificial intelligence really means for businesses, from the opportunities it creates to the risks companies cannot afford to ignore.
Lionel Naidoo, chief executive and chief artificial intelligence officer at Dragon Information Systems, will lead the discussion on Wednesday, September 16, from 7.45am until 9.15am at Bedfordshire Golf Club.
His session, The practical impact of AI on businesses: the opportunities and challenges ahead, will explore how organisations can use the technology, where it could add genuine value and what businesses should consider before adopting it.
Rather than approaching artificial intelligence as a purely technical subject, the discussion will focus on its practical implications for business owners and professionals.
Kerry Ransby, events manager at Woodfines Solicitors, said: “Artificial intelligence is already changing the way businesses work, but many organisations are still considering where it can add genuine value and what risks they need to manage.
“Lionel’s presentation will bring a practical perspective to the subject and should give attendees plenty to discuss. We are looking forward to welcoming Bedford Breakfast Club members back after the summer break.”
Bedford Breakfast Club has been running for several years and attracts people from businesses across Bedford, Milton Keynes and the surrounding area. Its meetings have an average attendance of around 30 people, giving attendees the opportunity to make new connections and discuss subjects affecting the local business community.
The event is sponsored by Metro Bank, Mazars and Woodfines Solicitors. A full English and continental breakfast will be available at the September meeting.
Attendees should provide details of any special dietary requirements when booking. Places can be reserved through the Bedford Breakfast Club Eventbrite page.
