Staff at the Milton Keynes office of accountancy and advisory firm MHA have raised £282 in support of the Alzheimer’s Society, following a successful cake sale held as part of the charity’s annual Forget Me Not Appeal.
The fundraising event, which took place on Monday 30 June, saw colleagues across the office donate a wide range of homemade and shop-bought cakes, biscuits and traybakes. All proceeds have been donated to the Alzheimer’s Society to support its work with people affected by dementia and their families.
Rebecca Hughes, Partner at MHA in Milton Keynes, said:
“It was fantastic to see so many colleagues come together for such an important cause. Whether they were baking, donating or simply enjoying a slice of cake, everyone played their part. Dementia affects so many families, and the Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support. We’re proud to have made a contribution and to have raised awareness within the office.”
The fundraiser forms part of MHA’s wider commitment to supporting charitable causes and engaging with the local community. The Forget Me Not Appeal runs throughout June, encouraging individuals and organisations to raise funds and awareness for those living with dementia.
