Businesses in Milton Keynes are being invited to take part in a new fully funded programme designed to cut carbon emissions, reduce operating costs, and give them a competitive edge in an increasingly sustainability-driven market.

The Sustainable Business: Milton Keynes initiative, delivered by Green Lark Environmental Solutions and funded by the UK Government, is now open to applications from companies across the city. The programme will provide support to 50 local businesses, regardless of size or sector, offering a comprehensive package of services to help them measure and manage their environmental impact.

Participating businesses will benefit from expert consultancy to carry out in-depth carbon audits, identifying where emissions can be reduced and where efficiencies can be made. These findings will be used to create tailored carbon reduction strategies, ensuring the approach is practical, commercially viable, and aligned with each organisation’s operational goals. Companies will also receive a full year’s access to a specialist digital carbon tracking platform, enabling them to monitor progress and report results accurately. In addition, staff will be offered Carbon Literacy training to embed environmental awareness and sustainable thinking into day-to-day operations.
