Milton Keynes is set to honour its unsung heroes at the city’s first-ever Charity Awards, organised by the Milton Keynes Community Foundation.

The event, taking place on 29 June 2026 at The Stables, will celebrate the charities, volunteers, and businesses making a difference across the city. It will also mark the Community Foundation’s 40th anniversary.

Award categories will recognise achievements in education, health, arts, poverty, the local economy, community safety, and the environment, alongside special honours including Volunteer of the Year, Charity Champion (businesses), the Carol Baume Award for Transformational Leadership, and the Ranjit Singh Award for Inclusion. Entries open at the end of October via the MK Community Foundation website and will be free of charge.

Ian Revell, chief executive of Milton Keynes Community Foundation, said: “This is a chance to shine a light on the people and organisations who give so much to Milton Keynes, recognising their generosity and their impact on the life of our city.”

The evening will take a relaxed, festival-style approach, with food trucks, live entertainment, and space for businesses, charities, civic leaders, and residents to come together in celebration.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, with local businesses encouraged to get involved in supporting the event.
