Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm, has celebrated another year of community engagement and social justice work led by its Milton Keynes office.

The firm’s 2025 Responsible Business Impact Review, covering its UK, Ireland and Middle East region, highlights achievements across volunteering, charity fundraising and sustainability.

Supporting local students with Worktree

Dentons has continued its long-running support for Milton Keynes-based charity Worktree, which helps young people explore careers and develop employability skills.

Last year, 30 volunteers from across the region took part in 72 Virtual Career WorkOut sessions with 1,833 students at 20 schools. Colleagues also ran “Dentons Den” events, sponsored initiatives, and hosted insight experiences for schools including Ousedale.

“Dentons is proud to support Worktree,” said senior associate Chris Northway. “Our Milton Keynes office and Legal Delivery Centre play a key role, with colleagues volunteering in both virtual and in-person sessions as well as through sponsorship and governance roles.”

Apprenticeship opportunities

Dentons also continues to expand its solicitor apprentice programme, one of the largest in the UK. Four apprentices are based in Milton Keynes, with two cohorts nationally having already qualified.

Harriet Bagguley, a solicitor apprentice in Milton Keynes, said the scheme gave her “a more practical route to qualification” and opened up career opportunities she would not have otherwise had access to.

Fundraising for Harry’s Rainbow

Community support also included fundraising for Harry’s Rainbow, the office’s charity of the year, which helps bereaved children and young people across Milton Keynes.

Seven colleagues abseiled 418 feet down Northampton’s National Lift Tower, raising £2,371. “We faced our fears together in support of an amazing charity,” said practice support executive Lauren Green, one of the participants.

The office also donated to Hackney Foodbank during National Apprenticeship Week and continues to champion inclusion through volunteering.
