Specsavers Milton Keynes has confirmed its support for this year’s Midnight Moo, as the annual Willen Hospice fundraiser returns to the city in June.
The night-time walking event, which raises funds for local hospice care, will take place on Friday 26 June, starting from Middleton Hall at centre:mk. Each year, more than 1,000 people take part, choosing between 5- and 10-mile routes along Milton Keynes’ redways.
The Midnight Moo remains one of the charity’s largest fundraising events, bringing together residents, businesses and community groups in support of Willen Hospice’s work with people affected by life-limiting illness.
Specsavers Milton Keynes, which operates stores in centre:mk and Newport Pagnell High Street, is continuing its long-standing support for the hospice through its sponsorship.
Steve Moore, director at Specsavers Milton Keynes, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Midnight Moo once again. It’s one of the city’s standout events, and we often have our very own Specsavers team walking on the night.
“As a local business, we’ve seen firsthand how many of our customers and colleagues have benefitted from the outstanding care provided by Willen Hospice, and it’s a privilege to be involved.”
Willen Hospice provides specialist care and support to people across Milton Keynes living with life-limiting conditions. As an independent charity, it relies heavily on fundraising to maintain its services, with the majority of its £11m annual costs funded by the local community.
Tickets for the Midnight Moo are now available, priced at £25, which includes a T-shirt and finisher’s medal, or £20 for entry with a medal only.
The event is expected to draw strong participation again this year, as supporters come together to raise funds and awareness for hospice care in the region.
