An Olney-based garage with more than a century of history has been named a finalist in the Motor Trader Industry Awards 2025.
Soul Garages is in the running for Independent Garage of the Year, a national award recognising innovation and excellence across the UK automotive sector.
The family-run business has been praised for balancing its traditional community focus with significant investment in new technology and training. More than half of its workshop team now hold IMI Level 3 Electric/Hybrid vehicle qualifications, while the launch of a roadside Service Truck allows technicians to fix most issues at a customer’s home or on the roadside.
Over the past year, Soul Garages has improved workshop efficiency, retained all of its staff – a rare achievement in the motor trade – and continued to modernise its services to meet the needs of today’s drivers.
“Being shortlisted for this award is an incredible honour for our team and a proud moment for Olney,” said Colin Gleghorn from Soul Garages. “We’ve always believed in combining traditional values with modern innovation, and this recognition shows that our approach is making a real difference, not just for our customers but for the future of independent garages.”
The winners will be announced at the Motor Trader Industry Awards ceremony later this year.
