Three of the Central region’s leading site managers have been crowned regional winners at the prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Awards 2025, held at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.

The annual awards, organised by the National House Building Council, recognise exceptional standards in house building and are regarded as the industry’s most respected competition.

Regional winners were:

  • Andy Leonard of Orbit Homes Limited – Medium builder category (Micklewell Park, Daventry)
  • Alan Holmes of Bellway Homes North Home Counties – Large builder category (New Cardington Gate, Bedford)
  • Gary Brinkman of Hill – High-rise category (The Icon, Stevenage)

Each of the three also received a Seal of Excellence, alongside 12 other site managers from across the Central region, including Sam Harding (Bedford), Cymon Robinson (Desborough), Rick Sims (Northampton), and Kelvin Rahilly (Milton Keynes).

Now in its 45th year, the Pride in the Job Awards celebrate the dedication and expertise of site managers who play a vital role in delivering high-quality new homes. Judging is rigorous, with assessments focusing on consistency, attention to detail, leadership, technical expertise, and health and safety.

The Central region, which covers developments across Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, continues to experience strong growth in housing projects. The NHBC’s focus on quality assurance is helping ensure that new communities are built to the highest standards — supporting both regional development and national housing targets.

Toby Phillips, NHBC Regional Director for the Central region, said: “Congratulations to all the winners. They have demonstrated the dedication, passion and leadership skills necessary to deliver new homes to exacting construction quality standards. This continued focus on excellence is vital to meet the government’s housing targets and ensure homes are built to the standards buyers expect.”

Reflecting on his win, Andy Leonard said the award was a tribute to teamwork. “Winning this award is recognition of the hard work our team puts into every home we build. Attention to detail and pride in our work make all the difference to homeowners,” he said.

The regional champions will now compete in the Pride in the Job Supreme Awards, to be announced at a gala ceremony in London in January 2026. The Central region has a strong track record at national level, with several site managers among previous Supreme Award winners.
