Milton Keynes-based C&B Electrical Contractors has won two Electrical Industry Awards, securing recognition for its specialist contracting work and community involvement.

The company took the Contractor of the Year award for businesses with turnover under £5 million, alongside the Community Involvement award.

C&B delivers mechanical and electrical services across healthcare, education and specialist sectors. Its healthcare work includes installations in critical environments where safety, compliance and keeping disruption to a minimum are central to the project.

Its community activities include support for Milton Keynes University Hospital and Bletchley Amateur Boxing Club, through fundraising, sponsorship and donated services.

Since 2024, C&B Electrical Contractors has contributed more than £12,000 towards healthcare initiatives at the hospital. This includes themed lighting improvements to the Milton Mouse Children’s Ward and sponsorship of the hospital charity’s Gala Ball.

Through its sponsorship of Bletchley Amateur Boxing Club, the business has also helped raise more than £16,000 to support youth development programmes, improve facilities and enable young athletes to compete internationally.

Callum Biscoe, commercial director, said: “Winning both Contractor of the Year and Community Involvement awards is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the dedication, professionalism and values of our entire team. For us, it is about supporting our clients, investing in our people, and making a meaningful contribution to the communities we serve.”

The company supports apprenticeships and works with local colleges as part of its approach to recruitment and skills development. Staff training includes specialist healthcare qualifications, health and safety courses and opportunities for career progression.

C&B has also introduced electric vehicles into its fleet and promotes energy-efficient technologies, including LED lighting, smart controls and renewable energy solutions, across its projects.

Ben Wilson, operations director, said: “These awards recognise the balance we’ve worked hard to achieve delivering specialist electrical excellence while creating opportunities, supporting local causes and leaving a positive legacy. We are incredibly proud of everyone who has helped us reach this milestone.”
