Milton Keynes charities have received a vital Easter boost after a food campaign backed by Franklins Solicitors delivered essential supplies to support rising demand across the city.

The MK Food Reach initiative, run in partnership with His Church Charity, funded the delivery of food pallets to organisations including Milton Keynes Food Bank, Baby Basics MK and Shenley Community Centre. The campaign forms part of a wider regional effort, which also supports charities in Northamptonshire.

As demand for food banks and community support continues to grow, organisers say the initiative is helping frontline organisations maintain critical services. The deliveries included a mix of store cupboard staples, cooking ingredients and everyday essentials for families in need.

Richard Humphrey from His Church Charity said the campaign demonstrates the impact of collaboration between businesses and charities. “We are grateful to the retail and manufacturing partners who trust His Church to redistribute surplus products to help vulnerable people through charities. This campaign shows what’s possible when businesses and charities work together to support their communities,” said Richard.

Andrea Smith from Franklins Solicitors said the initiative allows businesses to make a meaningful difference locally. “We are proud to support the MK Food Reach campaign and bring support to our communities this Easter. Businesses can be confident their donations go further, reaching those who need it most through trusted local charities,” said Andrea.

Charities say the support is already making a tangible difference. Louisa Hobbs from Milton Keynes Food Bank said: “The wide variety of food items in the donation helps us offer choice, comfort and dignity to the people we support. These donations keep our shelves stocked and help people feel cared for during difficult times.”

Sabrina Oakey, speaking on behalf of the McCarthy Dixon Foundation, added: “Being able to sit together and share a warm meal helps create a welcoming, family-like environment where everyone feels included and valued.”

While the campaign has also supported Northamptonshire charities including Hope Northampton and Restore Northampton, the focus remains on strengthening provision across Milton Keynes.

With pressure on services continuing to rise, Franklins Solicitors and His Church Charity are now calling on more Milton Keynes businesses to get involved. One-off and ongoing donations will help fund future deliveries and ensure continued community support.
