Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors, based in Milton Keynes, has appointed Kevin Edwards as a partner in its growing commercial property team, strengthening its senior expertise as demand continues to rise across the property and development sector.
Kevin joins the firm with more than 20 years’ experience in commercial property and development work. His appointment supports Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors’ ongoing strategic growth and its focus on advising developers, landowners and registered providers on complex transactions.
He began his career at the Homes and Communities Agency, now Homes England, where he worked on nationally significant initiatives. His early experience included compulsory purchase matters and the transfer and integration of assets from Regional Development Agencies.
Over the past 15 years, Kevin has developed a strong specialism in affordable housing, advising registered providers, landowners and developers on high-value and often multi-party transactions. His expertise spans a wide range of commercial property agreements, including options, conditional contracts, promotion agreements and pre-emption agreements.
He also has extensive experience in Golden Brick and turn-key development agreements, as well as stock transfers linked to affordable housing portfolios. Prior to joining Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors, Kevin was a partner at a boutique law firm in the South East specialising in affordable housing.
