Speaker applications open as Milton Keynes prepares for International Women’s Day 2026

Applications are now open for speakers and sponsors for Milton Keynes’ flagship International Women’s Day (IWDMK26) event, returning on Friday 6 March 2026. The organisers of IWDMK26 say they are aiming to build on last year’s sold-out success and are inviting business leaders, community advocates and sector specialists to take part.

Last year’s event drew widespread praise for its inspiring talks, hands-on workshops and panel discussions. Keynote speaker Jaz Ampaw-Farr received exceptional feedback from delegates, setting a high benchmark for the year ahead. Organisers say the 2026 programme will expand on that momentum and showcase a broader range of perspectives from across Milton Keynes and the wider region.

“Milton Keynes has really embraced International Women’s Day,” said Michelle Theuma, chair of Women in Enterprise and organiser of the event. “We’re looking for speakers who can bring fresh thinking, challenge stereotypes, and contribute to a day that celebrates women while creating space for genuine allyship.”

Theme revealed: GiveToGain

The 2026 theme, GiveToGain, highlights the value of allyship and shared action in progressing gender equality. Organisers say the concept is designed to encourage individuals and organisations to invest in one another and create more inclusive workplaces.

The day will include networking sessions, workshops, exhibitor stands and entertainment from local businesses and charities. The event remains open to all genders, reinforcing its commitment to fostering an inclusive business community.
