Milton Keynes property lawyer Kevin Edwards has joined the board of trustees at Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre, the charity responsible for managing the historic Bradwell Abbey site alongside Milton Keynes City Council.
Kevin is a commercial property partner at Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors and has extensive experience within the property sector. He will support the charity’s strategic development and its work to protect Bradwell Abbey, promote the city’s heritage and deliver educational programmes.
Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre provides learning programmes covering urban and heritage studies as well as the historical and natural development of Milton Keynes. Its archive was established to record the creation and growth of the city.
Bradwell Abbey contains the remains of a medieval Benedictine priory and is protected as a Scheduled Monument. The site includes a surviving medieval pilgrimage chapel with wall paintings.
Kevin said: “The Abbey is an important part of Milton Keynes’ heritage and has a unique story to tell.
“I am a historian at heart and have also always been passionate about supporting organisations that make a positive contribution to our community, so I am excited to work alongside fellow trustees and the team to help raise awareness of the Centre and support its future development as a charity protecting and maintaining a site of significant local history.”
Dr Noël James of Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre said the Milton Keynes property lawyer’s professional expertise, local knowledge and connections within the city’s business community would support the charity’s work.
“We look forward to working with him as we continue to develop the Centre and share the remarkable heritage of Bradwell Abbey with even more people,” she added.
Kevin joined Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors as a partner in its commercial property team in December 2025.
