More than 1,000 people took to the streets of Milton Keynes on Friday night for Willen Hospice’s annual Midnight Moo, helping to raise £100,000 for the charity’s specialist care.
Sponsored by Specsavers MK, the fundraising walk began at centre:mk’s Middleton Hall, where participants gathered in cow-themed fancy dress before setting off along the city’s redways.
The money raised will help fund Willen Hospice’s care and support for people living with life-limiting illness and their families across Milton Keynes and the surrounding area.
The event attracted support from businesses and community organisations across the city. MKFM and The New Horizon Radio broadcast live from the start, while GoodGym MK led the warm-up and welcomed walkers at the halfway point. Refreshments were provided by Horwood House, DreamSai, AG Barr and Vendmaster.
Entertainment along the route included samba drummers and a juggler, while Hospice nurses and staff cheered walkers on throughout the evening. More than 300 volunteer marshals also helped guide participants around the course.

It was another fantastic event, and the money raised will enable us to continue caring for families across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
