Milton Keynes HR and payroll technology consultancy Tugela People has launched an HR system selection service and appointed Jennifer Dunning to lead it.
The service will support businesses investing in HR software for the first time, replacing an existing platform or bringing several systems together.
Working with HR teams and other stakeholders, the consultancy will establish what a business needs before identifying suitable providers and assessing their systems. The process considers everyday HR tasks, employee experience, integration with other software, implementation requirements and ongoing costs.
Jennifer takes on the role of HR system selection consultant after more than two years in Tugela People’s managed services team. As an HRIS technical consultant, she helped mid-sized organisations improve their existing HR systems and processes.
Before joining the company, she spent more than eight years delivering HR technology solutions within a Fortune 500 organisation, working with HR operations, learning and development, payroll and talent acquisition teams.
Jennifer said: “Choosing a HR system can be a complex and sometimes overwhelming process. There is a huge amount of choice, and it is easy to get caught up in impressive features and lose sight of what your organisation actually needs.
“In this role, I’ll be helping organisations navigate that process, understand what they really need from their HR technology and make finding the right solution that little bit simpler. It is a significant investment of time and money, so getting that decision right matters.
“Having worked with clients once their systems are already in place, I have seen how important those early decisions are and that the work we do makes a positive impact. I’m excited to use that experience to support organisations from the outset and help shape this new service.”
The HR system selection service covers discovery, defining requirements, identifying providers, evaluating shortlisted systems and making recommendations. Suppliers are assessed against agreed priorities and practical scenarios to help businesses compare their options consistently.
It extends the company’s existing implementation, training and managed services, providing support from the initial search for software through to its day-to-day use.
Greg Guilford, chief executive of Tugela People, said: “Jennifer’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Tugela People as we develop our HR System Selection service, helping organisations make more confident decisions about their HR and wider people technology.
“Our focus is on helping organisations get more value from their technology, and that starts with choosing a system that is right for them. Jennifer brings valuable experience of working with HR teams and understanding how systems perform in practice, making her a great fit for this role.
“As well as supporting clients with their selection projects, Jennifer will help shape and develop the service as it grows and we’re excited to see where she takes it.”
