Google heads to Milton Keynes in October as one of the biggest names in global technology joins a free conference designed to help businesses navigate the rapid rise of artificial intelligence.
Jasmine Luk, startups and scale-ups lead at Google Cloud, has joined the speaker line-up for the fifth Accelerating AI Conference at Unity Place on Tuesday, October 13.
Her appearance brings Google into a programme already featuring Canva, Microsoft, NatWest and FreeAgent. Up to 300 business leaders, innovators and technology specialists are expected to attend the full-day conference, which forms part of MK Tech Week.
For SMEs facing an increasingly crowded and fast-moving AI market, the event offers free access to organisations involved in shaping, developing and applying the technology.

Google’s involvement marks a significant addition to a conference built around the everyday questions now confronting business owners and senior leaders.
Companies are being presented with a growing number of AI products promising to reduce costs, increase productivity and automate routine work. At the same time, employers must consider the reliability of those tools, their effect on staff, the security of business information and the risks of adopting them without proper oversight.
The conference is intended to help businesses make informed decisions rather than simply follow the momentum surrounding the technology.
It will cater for organisations at different stages of adoption, from leaders still identifying where AI could be useful to companies already incorporating it across their operations.
The programme will examine agentic AI, marketing, design, content creation, workplace productivity, finance, accounting, customer service, software development and automation. Cybersecurity, governance and responsible adoption will also be addressed.
Alongside keynote contributions, delegates will hear case studies, see practical demonstrations and take part in discussions about how organisations are already using artificial intelligence.
Google, Canva, Microsoft, NatWest and the South Midlands Growth Hub are listed as keynote partners. FreeAgent, the University of Bedfordshire, South East Cyber Resilience Centre, Federation of Small Businesses, Silverstone Technology Cluster, Milton Keynes City Council and Business MK are also supporting the event.
The South East Cyber Resilience Centre will contribute a policing and cybersecurity perspective, including the risks facing smaller companies as more employees begin using AI tools in the workplace.
The conference is being co-organised by Andy alongside Lionel Naidoo, managing director of Dragon Information Systems, and Matthew Rigby-White of qoob. Steve Lloyd of Exhibition Mastery is assisting with its delivery.
It follows four previous Accelerating AI conferences held in Milton Keynes. More than 400 people attended the first three events, with the most recent conference taking place in June 2026.
Research conducted around the June event found that 63 per cent of pre-conference survey respondents described their organisations as either exploring AI or conducting early experiments. Live polling on the day placed approximately three quarters of the room at a similar stage.
The findings have helped shape the October programme, which will place greater emphasis on practical applications, informed decision-making and examples from organisations already putting artificial intelligence to work.
As Google heads to Milton Keynes, businesses will have the chance to hear how AI is developing, consider what it could mean for their own organisations and compare their progress with other leaders facing many of the same decisions.
The fifth Accelerating AI Conference takes place at Unity Place, 200 Grafton Gate, Milton Keynes, on Tuesday, October 13. Attendance is free, but advance registration is required through the official conference booking page.
