A Milton Keynes HR consultancy is playing an increasingly important role in a national expansion strategy that has seen Impact HR extend its reach across the UK through acquisitions and recruitment.

Impact HR, which rebranded from Kingswood Group in October last year, has expanded rapidly through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth. The business now operates across multiple regions following acquisitions in Leeds, Leicester, Milton Keynes and Cardiff.

The latest deal saw the company acquire Cardiff-based consultancy EffectiveHRM, adding a Welsh presence to the group and bringing more than 150 SME clients and 12 employees into the business.

Alongside its acquisition programme, Impact HR has continued to invest in its workforce as demand for HR, payroll, health and safety and people advisory services grows among SMEs.

Recent appointments include James Roberts as HR Advisor covering the Leeds and northern region, Mellissa Charles as HR Consultant supporting businesses across the Eastern region and Amber Shoyer as Group Digital Marketing Executive.

James, who previously worked for a FTSE 250 IT consultancy, said he was attracted by the opportunity to help shape a growing business from both a HR and technology perspective.

Melissa, who brings more than 25 years of HR experience, said she had joined the company at an exciting stage in its development and looked forward to supporting further regional growth.

Amber said she was excited to join a business expanding at pace and help increase awareness of the brand as it continues to grow.

The appointments follow a number of senior hires made over the past year, including Greg Guilford as Group CEO, Juliet Irving as Director of HR Operations and James Balding as Head of Health and Safety.

Greg said the past 18 months had been transformational for the business, combining acquisition-led growth with investment in people and regional expertise.

He said: “We’ve grown both organically and through acquisition, expanded geographically across the UK and continued to strengthen our team with exceptional people who share our values and vision.

“Our ambition is to build a truly national HR consultancy that combines local expertise with the scale and capability to support SMEs through every stage of their growth journey.”

Impact HR is continuing to recruit across the group as it pursues further growth opportunities.
