Survey seeks business views on area’s futureApr 18, 2013
To build on the success of past surveys, this year’s questionnaire is now live for businesses across the whole of Central Bedfordshire.
It considers the issues that businesses face in order to help the council shape the services it offers to support long-term economic growth.
The 2013 survey can be found on the council’s website at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/consultations until Monday (April 22).
Cllr Nigel Young (pictured), Executive Member for Sustainable Communities, Strategic Planning and Economic Development, said the results of previous surveys have played a key part in shaping local skills provision, the council’s plans for superfast broadband and local transport plans.
He added: "This year’s survey will help us continue to improve how we deal with and support local businesses so I would encourage people to take part. The Business Timebank we run was as a direct result of these surveys and the one to one support these sessions offer has been invaluable to companies in the area."
Alongside Business Timebank, the council also sends out regular business communications called Let’s Talk Business that let the community know about the latest development and opportunities in their area.

The council will also be contacting hundreds of local businesses by telephone to collect further information for the survey.
