Staff scale the heights to boost Leo’s AppealMar 05, 2014
All 27 at the firm’s Linford Wood office are preparing to climb Ben Nevis this summer with the aim of raising £10,000 for the appeal. National Locums, which supplies locum doctors to hospitals across the UK, has adopted Leo’s Appeal as its charity of the year.
The climb marks the climax of the firm’s fundraising programme this year, which also includes a cake stall in the hospital’s reception area, a charity auction in Stony Stratford this month and collections at Kingston shopping centre.
A Christmas collection by National Locums staff last year raised £420 to buy toys for the children’s ward.
Director Natalie Cook said: “We asked our people whether they would join in a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis, and we were really pleased that every one of them volunteered.”
