You will be joining other Milton Keynes companies in an international day of giving and a global social media phenomenon, which is helping to raise awareness and support for local charities.
In the last 15 years, there have been over 1,000 preventable winter deaths in Milton Keynes. During the coldest months of the year, vulnerable people are at risk of premature death because of their age, health or living conditions.
All money raised as part of the #GivingTuesday Challenge will provide vital funds for charities delivering emergency food, care and warmth across the community of Milton Keynes.
Milton Keynes Community Foundation work with local charities including Age UK Milton Keynes to distribute support to those most in need.
With the support of local sporting organisations Snozone, Ellis Brigham, Nuffield Health, Bounce and MK Dons SET, you and your colleagues will have a fun and active day.
Each company must nominate between 2-10 staff to take part in the following activities (2 people per event):
- Skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing
- Cycling on an exercise bike
- Football skills
The key aim of the event is to raise as much money as possible to support the most vulnerable people in our community. With this in mind we have asked all the businesses taking part to raise at least £500.
The company that raises the most money will be announced at 6pm on December 1 and will win the #GivingTuesday Challenge Cup.
If your business is up for the challenge, join Interdirect and MK Community Foundation by e-mailing

If you cannot take part in the #GivingTuesday Challenge Cup but would like to support the fundraising bid there are other ways to help:
- Donate at www.mkcommunityfoundation.co.uk/Appeal/givingtuesday2015
- Hold an office fundraising day, which could be anything from wearing Christmas jumpers at work to holding a ‘bake off’ style cake sale
