Security software specialist Traka receives its third Queen’s Award

Nov 02, 2012

Mr Boswell visited the company’s headquarters at Olney this week to present the award, made to Traka for innovation in its work to automate access management and security within organisations including the Ministry of Justice.
The award follows the company’s most successful year to date. Founded in 1995, Traka has grown to more than 100 local employees and a turnover of £10million in 2011. It is now owned by Swedish-based security solutions giant ASSA ABLOY.
Mr Kent said: “This is a proud moment in Traka’s history and it is an honour to have been recognised for our continued efforts to find innovative solutions that meet our customers’ different needs.
"Furthermore the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise demonstrate that innovation in Britain is very much alive and well.”
Traka previously won a Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2004 and a Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2008.
