Owner puts fashion business up for sale

Sheila Kemble (pictured) has owned and run Harpurs in Woburn Sands for 25 years. She is to retire at the end of this year to spend more time with her grandchildren and to concentrate on her work as a trustee of Willen Hospice.
She has also been shortlisted as an Olympic torch runner in 2012 and is waiting to hear if she has been chosen.
Sheila remains fully involved with Harpurs until December, however, and is overseeing the shop’s new autumn and winter collections.European labels in the new collection include Betty Barclay, Gerry Weber, Basler, Marc Cain, Save the Queen and John Charles.
Harpurs, situated in a prominent position in Station Road, Woburn Sands, is being marketed through Aitchison Raffety in Milton Keynes on a freehold or leasehold basis.
The premises extend to approximately 3,000 sq ft including retail showrooms on the ground and first floors and good-sized stock rooms, office, kitchen and toilets.
