Network Rail have signed an agreement with Milton Keynes Partnership to develop the centre on the site of the National Hockey Stadium next to Milton Keynes Central railway station.
The centre will provide office space for a number of Network Rail’s key national functions that are presently based at various locations across the country.
Milton Keynes Partnership chief executive John Lewis (pictured) said: “Network Rail’s decision to commit to this major investment in Milton Keynes is a real boost to business confidence in the city. We will continue to work closely with Network Rail and MK Council to support the successful delivery of this exciting opportunity.”
The exact details of the scheme and schedule for the development will be finalised in spring 2009.
