Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards launchedNov 27, 2013
Presented by Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership, in association with Interdirect, the awards will recognise achievement in ten categories, and cover a wide spectrum of business activities.
Speaking at the launch of the awards, MKBLP chairman Philip Smith said: “We recognise the need to acknowledge the work of the many organisations in the Milton Keynes area who are doing outstanding work by not only promoting their organisations, but also the city of Milton Keynes, and provide employment and entertainment for the many people who choose to live here.
“We hope that the Business Achievement Awards will go some way to recognising those companies and to raise awareness of the extraordinary talent we have. This is all about Milton Keynes.”
Business MK has been confirmed as the awards’ official media partner.

MKBLP works to to identify and develop strategic interests specific to the business community in the city. Mr Smith said: "I am delighted that we have successfully secured three major Milton Keynes businesses to become the award’s headline sponsors. Shakespeares Solicitors, University Campus Milton Keynes and Casino MK have all recognised the value in the awards.
“In addition, we are pleased to announce that Business MK as our media partner.”
The awards dinner will be held on March 20 2014 and award entries will be accepted from December 9 when the MKBAA website is launched.
Nicholas Mann, managing director of full service marketing agency Interdirect – the joint-organiser and major contributor to the new awards – said: “I believe passionately that the achievements of Milton Keynes businesses should be recognised and celebrated on an annual basis.”
Both MKBLP and Interdirect have stressed the “complete transparency” to be applied to applications and the judging process. All award entries and most of the judging will take place online, Mr Mann said.
