Media Circle co-ordinator Sue Malleson said: “Our members have been notified that they needed to sign up to the new group at Yahoo! but I think we will inevitably lose some as a result of the transfer. The really unfortunate thing about the closure of SmartGroups is the loss of information which has already been shared between group members.”
The Media Circle was established in 1993 and became a virtual organisation with free membership in November 2004.
