Marina plans in the public eye at open day

They attended the public open day at the Campbell Wharf Marina and found out more about the state of the art facilities being built at the site on the Grand Union Canal.

It is due to open in the spring.

David Foster, chief executive of The Parks Trust, said: “We were very pleased to welcome so many people to the open day. It was a unique opportunity to see the marina before it is filled with water, and there was lots of interest in the work that has been completed so far.”

A spectacular new three-legged bridge is due to be installed later this month across the mouth of the Marina and the Grand Union Canal. Work will continue throughout the winter to ensure the project is finished in time for the spring, said Mr Foster.
