Link road ‘essential for growth’, says forum

May 25, 2010

Luton Gateway, the company driving forward economic regeneration across the area, held its quarterly Developers’ Forum at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable, attracting yet another full house.
It once again proved a valuable opportunity to discuss regeneration on the region, in particular the A5-M1 link road and the innovative funding options open to local authorities in driving development in the region.
Luton Gateway executive director John Newton (pictured) identified the importance of the A5-M1 link road as a major guarantor of regional growth in his opening address to the forum and welcomed the sustained level of interest.
He said: “It is imperative that the development and business community gives full support to this essential piece of infrastructure which provides crucial benefits for both Central Bedfordshire and for Luton.”
