Lightning strike a new sponsorship deal

The deal will see the team sporting the logo of leading men’s grooming brand The Bluebeards Revenge logo on their helmets for the 2011-12 season until April 2012, giving the brand exposure at rinks right across the south of England.
 
Lightning players will also feature in a new ‘Train Hard, Shave Easy’ TV commercial.
 
The Lightning’s player-coach Nick Poole (pictured) said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Bluebeards Revenge as an official partner to the MK Lightning.
 
"Ice hockey and the Lightning have a lot in common with Bluebeards Revenge and their customers – it is an action-packed, fast-paced sport and we’re a young, ambitious team that works hard but plays hard too – we hope that will really appeal to people that buy Bluebeards Revenge products.”
 
Nick Gibbens, PR and marketing manager for The Bluebeards Revenge, said: “The Lightning are an awesome team with a great tradition of playing some of the most open and attacking ice hockey in the UK. We are very much looking forward to working with the club on a number of exciting projects.”
