Sherifat Aminu, a former student at Stantonbury Campus in Milton Keynes, won the scholarship in 2015. She now works at Freeths as a legal assistant.
“The Freeths Legal Scholarship has been one of my biggest achievements to date,” she said. “Winning that scholarship was the catalyst to me pursuing a career in commercial law and the work experience helped me gain invaluable skills for my CV.
“The fact that I won a scholarship and already had substantial amount of legal experience under my belt gave me something to stand out as a candidate at interviews.
“As a legal assistant at Freeths now, I have come back full circle into a firm which helps to enrich young students early on with the confidence and motivation to pursue their goals no matter what background they have come from.”
Freeths is committed to providing opportunities to those interested in a career in law who may benefit from some assistance of this kind. The paid-for work experience placement
