    Job Description:

    Due to growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner to join our Private Client Services team. Part time hours will be considered in this role along with hybrid working.

    Key skills
    The successful candidate will have excellent client care skills with the ability to have a professional but empathetic approach.

    We are looking for a team player with high levels of initiative and motivation who is able to conduct their own caseload with minimal supervision.

    The ability to develop positive relationships with clients and manage client expectations is essential.

    Department specific
    By joining our team you will be managing client matters with particular focus on:

    – Will preparation
    – Lasting Powers of Attorney
    – Estate administration
    – Advising clients with regard to elderly client/vulnerable client issues
    – Advising clients on estate planning for asset protection with focus on tax minimisation, care fees etc
    – Court of Protection work
    – Trust administration and Declarations of Trusts
    – Attend local hospitals, hospices and care homes as required
    – Work closely with other departments within the firm on joint matters/project

    This role will be suited to someone with 3+ years experience. However, less experienced candidates who can prove they have the skills and qualities needed will be considered.

    Effective oral and written communication skills with excellent knowledge and understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and other relevant regulatory requirements is essential.

    Commercial and financial awareness including the ability to take responsibility for financial control of own client matters along with experience of marketing, networking and business development is a requirement of the role.
