Protector, designed by AegisDRM, is the first of its type in the world. It stops the downloading of confidential information and forwarding of confidential emails.
AegisDRM managing director Dr Mark R Baker said major defence contractors including Northrop Grumman had used the system.
He added: “Analysts have concluded that this product can save businesses millions on couriering and flights for personal visits on projects where confidential information is exchanged as well as safeguarding individuals privacy in a way previously impossible. We have worked with a number of companies in this space but it looks as though Google’s work to make their solutions’ security second to none will be the largest yet.”
Protector was a reflection of the leading role Milton Keynes companies were playing in technology, Dr Baker said. “This really shows how far ahead we are when Silicon Valley comes to us for cutting-edge technology.”
