Food packaging giant moves into new HQ

Nov 14, 2018

The building will become the UK and distribution headquarters for American-owned Reiser.

The building, in Maidstone Road, Kingston, has been completed by regional real estate developer Hampton Brook. It is a key part of Reiser’s growth programme.

Construction began in November last year and has been completed after a nine-month build and fit out. Reiser managing director Richard Watson said: “We were delighted to be able to work with Hampton Brook to provide our much-needed expansion space within Milton Keynes, reflecting our growth and the services we provide to customers.
"As part of the build process, Hampton Brook undertook a complex fit-out package to include machine testing and customer demonstration areas, which was a key driver behind our reasons to relocate. Hampton Brook took on board the unique nature of our requests and has delivered an exceptional building.”

Reiser has supplied processing and packaging equipment to the sausage, meat, poultry, seafood, prepared food, bakery and cheese industries for nearly 60 years.

Its high-quality equipment and innovative engineering has taken the company to market leader status and led to the move to larger premises at Kingston, Mr Watson said.

The bespoke facility is the result of a shortage of quality available property, said Hampton Brook development director Ian Jackson.

He added: “With other competing locations across the UK looking to attract inward investment, we are excited that through our ability to deliver a bespoke facility for Reiser, we have been able to retain yet another international firm in Milton Keynes.”

Reiser’s decision to expand within Milton Keynes has been welcomed by the council. Head of economy and culture Pam Gosal said: “It is great to see significant US inward investments into Milton Keynes, enabling the city to continue to deliver good quality employment opportunities.”

Mr Jackson added: “With exciting opportunities coming to the fore, we looks set to continue to provide occupiers in the city with bespoke property solutions.”
