College champions apprenticeships at Business Expo 3.0Mar 05, 2014
This is the message that Milton Keynes College will be shouting out loud and clear to business delegates attending Business Expo 3.0 tomorrow (Thursday).
This is National Apprenticeship Week , celebrating apprentices’ talent, skills and achievements and proves apprenticeships are greatfor businesses, great for personal careers and great for creating opportunities for both employers and apprentices.
Milton Keynes College will host two seminars at Business Expo 3.0, which takes place at stadiummk starting at 10am and noon
Delegates will hear from:
- Liz Coughlin, Employer Account Manager, National Apprenticeship Service;
- Simran Dhesi , a MK College student doing an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration will talk about why she chose the apprenticeship route over university;
- Dianne Cook, who heads up the College’s apprenticeship provision, will explain and demonstrate how the national apprenticeship programme works and the many benefits to businesses achieved by employing an apprentice.

- Milton Keynes College’s Open Evening on March 19 (5pm-8pm) includes a dedicated Apprenticeship Zone that will give potential apprentices information on the broad range of subjects open to them, as well as an opportunity to meet local companies face-to-face already working closely with the College and employing apprentices.
With more than 20 years’ experience in delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes across a wide range of occupational areas, the College works to help local businesses find the right apprentices, and deliver high quality training and development.
