Center Parcs staff prepare for Woburn Forest openingSep 24, 2013
The holiday village is using the nearby Forest Centre at Marston Moretaine to host its training. Pictured are the latest 12 new recruits, nine of whom are housekeeping staff, taking their induction training.
A total 50 staff at Woburn Forest are due for introductory and specialist training by the end of this month.
Center Parcs provides more than 450 different courses, with 60 induction programmes and more than 300 others for Woburn Forest staff before the opening in March.
Center Parcs training and development manager Tracy Walker said: “The Forest Centre was the ideal choice for training to take place. Not only is it local but the centre has a similar environment to Center Parcs to help our new colleagues familiarise themselves.
“We also have an existing relationship with the Centre through the funding of the planting of more than 30,000 trees this year.”
Woburn Forest is continuing its recruitment campaign to fill 1,500 posts, many of which will be taken by Bedfordshire residents.
