Wellingborough Question Time takes place at the London Road site of Wrenn School on March 17, at 7.30pm.
Organised by Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce and Wrenn School, a panel including politicians and students will answer questions posed by members of the audience.
Chamber president James Wilson (pictured) said: “There will be lots of opportunities and challenges facing Wellingborough in the forthcoming years and how these are addressed will nearly all be affected by political decision making in one form or other.
“We felt it would be a great for young students in the town to get to understand the process and relationship between politics, business and communities of interest first hand and for them to be leading with the questions.
“There is a lot to discuss and celebrate regarding Wellingborough at the moment. This Question Time-style event will present an ideal opportunity to talk about the future of the town and borough in the build-up to the General Election.”
The panel will include Reverend Richard Coles, Vicar of Finedon and BBC Radio 4 presenter, Wellingborough Borough Council leader Cllr Paul Bell and opposition leader Cllr Andrew Scarborough.
The event will be chaired by Neil Pickford, editor of the Northamptonshire Telegraph.
It will also include Wrenn pupil Tom Preece, Tamer Sadek from Wellingborough School and another panellist representing the business community.
