Wilson Browne has agreed to take on the pivotal role at the 2019 Northamptonshire Business Awards where the county’s best businesses will battle it out to be crowned Business of the Year and win £10,000.
The legal experts have won numerous awards themselves, including national recognition at the National Law Society awards.
“We got involved with the inaugural Northamptonshire Business Awards as headline sponsor in 2018 and had a terrific response to that support from businesses who are based in, or work in, the county.
“We know what it takes to win awards, but we also know what a boost that recognition gives to businesses and their greatest asset – their staff – without whom nothing would be possible.
“It made absolute sense for us to remain involved, and I am delighted that we will be the headline sponsor for the 2019 awards.
The awards categories are Small Business of the Year; Best Use of Technology; High Growth Business of the Year; Workplace Wellbeing Award; Customer Commitment Award; E-commerce Business of the Year; Exporter of the Year; Employer of the Year and Apprentice of the Year.
The winners will receive £1,000 of marketing support from Northamptonshire Chamber and one will be named Business of the Year. The category winners may also be eligible for the regional and national finals of the British Chambers of Commerce’s Chamber Business Awards.
The county awards are open to organisations of all sizes and from all sectors across Northamptonshire and will culminate with an awards ceremony and dinner in September 2019.
Accountants sponsor Employer of the Year
ONE OF the largest independent accounting and business advisory firms in the UK is sponsoring the Employer of the Year award at the 2019 Northamptonshire Business Awards.
Ellacotts LLP is well known throughout the county as an experienced and skilled provider of audit, accounting, taxation and business advisory services.
It is the second year in a row Ellacotts has sponsored a category at the awards which are open to all Northamptonshire businesses to celebrate the achievements of the county’s best firms.

HR experts sponsor Small Business of the Year category
AN EXPERT team of HR consultants are sponsoring the Small Business of the Year award at the 2019 Northamptonshire Business Awards for the second year in a row.
Kettering-based HR Solutions have been providing outsourced HR consultancy and support services for nearly two decades.

Video producer renews sponsorship of Best Use of Technology award
A CREATIVE video agency is sponsoring the Best Use of Technology award for the second year in a row.
J motion video productions was keen to be a sponsor of this year’s Northamptonshire Business Awards after backing the inaugural awards last year.
Managing director Jonathan Staples said: “Last year’s awards were fantastic and we are delighted to be sponsoring the Best Use of Technology award for the second year in a row. We were very impressed with the calibre of entries last year and are looking forward to seeing how county firms are driving their businesses forward through technology in 2019.”
AN IT support company with a difference is sponsoring the High Growth Business of the Year award at the 2019 Northamptonshire Business Awards.
PCS Business Systems has more than two decades of experience of offering IT support and solutions to businesses and was one of the finalists in the hotly contested Employer of the Year category at last year’s inaugural awards.
