Five finalists from Milton Keynes are among those trail-blazing firms from around the region which have been invited to the awards presentation at Cranfield University on May 13.
Awards will be presented for five different categories: young technology entrepreneur of the year; technology entrepreneur of the year; technology- led business of the year; best use of sustainable technology in a business; best use of technology by a business.
From the winners of each category, the recipient of the overall Bright Sparc Award will be chosen.
Chris Dunkley (pictured), Sparc’s network director and director of Milton Keynes Enterprise hub, said: “We were delighted by the high number, broad range and excellent quality of the entries, which reflect the way in which so many companies in Milton Keynes and the surrounding region are working at the cutting edge of technology.
“The finalists selected by the judging panel have truly excelled in their specialist fields and are showing how important it is to be innovative in these tough times.”
The winners will receive a specially made Bright Sparc Award prize. All finalists will be given space and marketing material to exhibit at the Cranfield VentureDay – a one-day conference and networking event for entrepreneurs – on May 14.
