It received the Best Customer Service accolade at the annual Mobile News Awards, attended by more than 1,000 people in London.
The Bedford-based company has been a finalist for the past nine years and was described by the judges as “this year’s runaway winner”. It beat competition from the likes of 3, Vodafone, The Carphone Warehouse, Tesco Mobile, Total Communications and Azzurri.
Aerofone chief executive officer Jo Marks said: I was absolutely thrilled and over the moon for the team at Aerofone who have worked so hard all year round.
"I would personally like to thank them for doing such a sterling job and a big thank you to the hundreds of customers and business partners who wrote testimonials commending so many staff and the company for the high levels of service that they are receiving.
“Our entry highlighted that customer service is something that every department is involved in and every member of the team is vital to the company’s spirit and achievement.
“This is the highest accolade within the telecoms industry and to be winner of the Best Customer Service in the whole of UK, in this of all years, makes all the hard work and effort even more rewarding.”
Aerofone, which has been supplying mobile communications solutions for more than 20 years, is now part of Siminn, the major network provider in Iceland, after its acquisition a year ago.
