Sculpture takes root

Businessman and local artist Phillip Pauley created ATOL, which stands for A Tree Of Life and is the first in a series of artworks based around the natural world.

Mr Pauley has built a business around interacting with nature, Pauley Landscapes and this is his second project on the Theatre District. Last year he created and installed a science-themed garden in celebration of Milton Keynes’ 40th birthday party and the city’s first Science Fair.

Theatre District marketing manager Sara Mills said: “Although this space is temporary, it is great for our outdoor environment to be used to display such a wonderful piece of art, and would love to see a sculpture garden grow around ATOL.

"The metal tree is meant to represent growth and is particularly apt considering the development of Milton Keynes.”

Mr Pauley is offering the sculpture for sale to help raise funds for his next public art project and forthcoming exhibition.
