New CEO as Tensator changes focus to technology

The announcement at its headquarters in Milton Keynes by Tensator coincides with the appointment of a new chief executive.

Ben Gale (pictured) is the former vice president of payments, loyalty and insights provider The Logic Group, where he focused heavily on the shift towards online and mobile retailing.

He takes on the role as Tensator Group aims to place a greater emphasis on technology-based solutions for retail, transport, finance, healthcare and the public sector.

Mr Gale said: “It is fair to say that Tensator has had a longstanding reputation as ‘the barrier people’ but times have changed. While the Tensabarrier will always be part of our core offering, we know that our clients want technology-led solutions that offer greater insights and benefits for their own customers.

“We have an exciting opportunity to take an already well-established company and develop it into a successful technology provider in the customer journey space.

“I believe our best years lie ahead of us and we will be working together as a team to cement ourselves as a trusted and experienced technology specialist.”

Mr Gale has previously worked for consumer transaction specialist the NCR Corporation, for whom he was Western European regional vice president

He was also national sales director for Reed Business Information and spent over a decade at Xerox, where he became general sales and marketing manager for the Middle East and Africa.

In his new role at Tensator Group, Mr Gale takes charge of the company’s eight offices, overseeing 237 staff across the UK, USA, Dubai, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Germany and France.

Tensator Group’s customers include HSBC, ASDA, Walt Disney World, Heathrow Airport and Walgreens.
